Police said a seventeen-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a fifteen-year-old was stabbed in Peckham last Tuesday.
The incident on Rye Lane, at the Copeland Road junction took place on Tuesday, February 21 and the seventeen-year-old was arrested on the same day. Police said he has since been bailed to return to a south London police station in March.
In the meantime, detectives will continue their investigation.
Officers were called to the scene near the Nags Head pub at 8pm, to reports of a stabbing where they discovered the fifteen-year-old suffering from a knife injury. He was rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. Thankfully, his condition was not considered life-threatening.
A Met Police spokesperson said the incident was believed to be “close to – but not involving – the Nags Head”.
