Police have launched an appeal after three different women were followed by an assailant in Brixton and Clapham.
One woman only escaped after “a short struggle” while another was “grabbed” before she was able to get away.
Police, who described the incidents as “extremely frightening”, would like to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incidents.
The first incident took place at around 10.50pm on Tuesday, October 10, on Barrington Road, Brixton.
A woman was entering her address when a man approached her. Police said: “After a short struggle she was able to fight him off and he left the area.”
On Friday, November 17, a woman was walking along Sisters Avenue, by Clapham Common, when she noticed a man following her.
Police said: “As he got close, she began to shout and he ran away.”
The third incident took place on Sumburgh Road, Clapham, at around 1.40am on Sunday, November 19.
The man approached the woman and grabbed her but she managed to escape.
Officers believe the incidents are linked. The suspect is described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, of slim build, with short blonde hair.
Chief Inspector Dave Lee, from South West Borough Command Unit, said: “These were extremely frightening incidents for the women involved and we are using all of the resources at our disposal to identify the individual responsible.
“We know this will cause community concern and we will be carrying out extra patrols at key times. We would encourage anyone who believes they can help our investigation to contact us as soon as possible.”
