An eleven year-old from Dulwich has made his professional stage debut on the UK tour of musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Dulwich College pupil Zachy Fleming bagged the part of Benji at the show’s New Wimbledon Theatre dates from October 7-12, where he shared the role with ten-year-old Tom Bonomini, from Richmond, where the youngsters appeared with actors Jason Donovan and Joe McFadden.
Zachy trains at the weekend with the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in West Dulwich, where he takes classes in comedy and drama, musical theatre and film and TV.
He said: “The show has been so much fun to do as it has groovy songs, amazing costumes and awesome sets.
“The cast is really kind and funny too. I love wearing a mic and my favourite bits of the show were being wheeled on stage on the bed, and singing with Joe McFadden.”
