King’s College NHS remains one of the trusts hardest hit by the COVID-19 outbreak as it records the fourth highest death toll in England.
As of 5pm on Thursday 296 patients had died from the disease in its hospitals.
From March 24 onwards deaths were being recorded every single day, and had risen sharply in number.
The heaviest loss so far came on March 30, with 23 patients passing away that day.
In total, 115 have died at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and two patient deaths were recorded by South London and the Maudsley Trust.
Up until 5pm Thursday (April 16) the trusts with the highest recorded deaths are as follows:

My heart breaks for the families who have lost loved ones. My heart goes out to all the staff at Kings College hospital my local hospital which has been hit so hard by this terrible virus. My experieince of Kings has always been so positive and they have taken great care of my health on more than one occasion. I know the staff would have gone the extra mile for all the patients.
