Speaking after his sides 3-3 draw with Bearsted last Saturday, in which Williams netted twice, the Fish boss was ebullient about the new Fisher man.
Abbott told the clubs website: “Trey Williams, all I can say is I couldn’t have asked any more from him.
“His movement and link up play was outstanding and he took his two goals well and could have scored more, but I’m sure he will scored 20/25 goals if he stays injury free.”
In addition to Williams brace of goals player/coach Isa Hussain also hit the back of the net with a long distance free kick that had Black and White fans purring.
But Abbott admitted he was not totally happy with his players efforts. He said: “I’m really disappointed in the three goals we give away, when you keep telling the back four to do something and they don’t do it that is so annoying, especially when their third goal went in.
“If they had done what I said we would have won the game, which is why I was so annoyed at the final whistle.”
Abbott added: “Overall I’m happy with our start [to the season], unbeaten with a new team, that breeds confidence, and we all look forward to our next game at home to Corinthians [this Saturday at home] which will be another tough game, then a big game away at Beckenham on Monday.”
