TOM Elliott is set to return to training later this week and could be in line to face Brentford in the first fixture after the international break.
Elliott, 26, has been out of action since damaging his quad in training before Millwall’s trip to Wolves last month.
His last appearance was in the 3-1 defeat to Reading in the second round of the EFL Cup on August 22.
Former AFC Wimbledon striker Elliott has scored three goals in six games this season for the Lions.
“We’re hoping Tom will be involved in the Brentford game,” Millwall boss Neil Harris said. “The plan is to get him back into the training group at the backend of this week.
“We want to get him a full week’s training ahead of Brentford.
“With a thigh injury you have to be careful because it’s striking-the-ball muscles. We’ve built him up slowly and we’ll continue to be patient because we’ve got another 12 days or so without a game.
“We’ve really missed him.”
