A man was taken to hospital after being glassed in the face in Nunhead last Thursday night (February 10), police have confirmed.
No one has been arrested yet and police continue to look into the attack, which took place on Cheltenham Road close to midnight.
Unconfirmed eyewitness reports told the News that forensic officers were at the scene on Friday morning (February 11).
A spokesperson for the Met police said: “Police were called to a property in Cheltenham Road, SE15, at 23.56hrs on Thursday, February 10 by London Ambulance Service to reports of an injured man.
“Officers attended. A man reported that he had been hit in the face with a glass object causing a large cut.
“He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His injuries have been assessed as non life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.”
