KYLE Smith was involved as Wealdstone scrapped their way to a dramatic 3-2 win over Rochdale in the National League.
Despite being 1-0 and 2-1 behind at Grosvenor Vale, the Stones emerged triumphant thanks to Jack Cook’s 95th-minute winner.
Smith played the full 90 minutes in what was his 11th Wealdstone appearance while fellow Lions loanee Abdul Abdulmalik was an unused sub.
With only one win in their previous seven before Saturday, Wealdstone needed a victory and now sit 12th in the fifth-tier.
Things were not quite as joyful for Chin Okoli as Bromley played out a 1-1 draw with Boreham Wood.
Shortly after Olufela Olomola opener, Okoli went off injured after 26 minutes. It is not yet clear how serious his issue is.
Boreham Wood equalised with 10 minutes to go, leaving in-form Bromley fourth in the table, one point behind Solihull Moors.
In the EFL, Joe Wright was an unused substitute as Salford City lost 2-1 at home to still unbeaten Mansfield Town while Alex Mitchell was also an unused sub as Lincoln City drew 1-1 with Port Vale.
Lincoln, who dismissed Mark Kennedy on the same day Gary Rowett left Millwall, yesterday named former Leeds United interim boss Michael Skubala as their new manager.
The 41-year-old managed two games for Leeds last season after they sacked Jesse Marsch.
There’s also been managerial change at Nana Boateng’s Woking. Boss Darren Sarll was sacked yesterday after eight defeats in ten games.
Boateng has missed the last 11 games with a foot injury.
