A “brutal attack” has left a man in his 40s with serious head injuries in Bermondsey.
Police were called to Janeway Place, off Jamaica Road, at around 6.25pm, on Tuesday, May 16, and found the victim.
He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police are appealing for witnesses and are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything out of the ordinary in the area at the time.
Detective Inspector Yasser Awad, from Central South BCU, said: “This appears to have been a brutal attack and one which has left the victim in a very serious condition in hospital.
“We are carrying our urgent enquiries to try and establish exactly what happened but we would like to hear from anyone who has information that could help our investigation.
“This includes anyone who might have CCTV or doorbell footage in the surrounding areas.”
