BILLY Mitchell has come in to replace the suspended George Saville in Millwall’s first line-up of 2024.
The Lions play Bristol City but will be without Saville after the 30-year-old’s red card on Friday night against Norwich City.
The only other change sees Duncan Watmore replace Aidomo Emakhu as Millwall bid for a third win and fourth clean sheet in a row.
With Wes Harding and Casper De Norre injured, up-and-coming Lions defender Niino Adom-Malaki joins the bench for the ninth time this season. He is still looking to make his debut.
Bristol City have made three changes to their side with Taylor Gardner-Hickman, Mark Sykes and Nakhi Wells dropping out while Andreas Weimann, Tommy Conway and Matty James come in.
James was the match-winner in the reverse fixture back in August while Weimann scored a hat-trick against Millwall almost exactly two years ago.
The Lions have won their last three games on New Year’s Day and have been victorious in three of their last four trips to Ashton Gate.
But Liam Manning’s side have found form in recent weeks and, like Millwall, are unbeaten in their last four games.
